25% of $2 million development budget is already pledged. The total production budget will be between $120 and $150 million USD and will require up to $40 million in equity capital, what I am ultimately seeking, in exchange for an equity position in the film project.
Chief advisor for film project was Senior Vice President of Business Development at Sony Pictures Entertainment and was VP and CFO of 20th Century Fox. Entertainment attorney co-founded Sundance Film Festival and is chairman of a film lending bank and I have already met in person with the CEO of one of the major studios in Los Angeles. I am an experienced writer and I co-founded a business that now employs over 100 with gross sales over $20 million.
Three years were spent developing this true story of the Japanese war hero who led the attack on Pearl Harbor and whose life was dramatically changed by an American POW and a young lady he never met. The best comparison of this epic film would be a combination of "Saving Private Ryan" and "Ben-Hur".
Half of this story is the Japanese side, half the American side. Script has been vetted and critiqued on 5 continents, all extremely positive. The #1 and #2 film markets in the world are the U.S. and Japan respectively. Primary film market is 18-24 and script "screeners" in this age group have all been very enthusiastic (as have all other age groups).
Hungry Kitty, LLC was established in 2005 to produce several compelling true stories as feature films. We are now ready to go into development.
The $2 million will allow Hungry Kitty, LLC to secure an A-list director, key talent, produce detailed shooting script and budget and enable Hungry Kitty, LLC to secure balance of necessary equity capital to go into production.
